We have had the honor of having Alix Jeanguillaume represent HYRAW CLOTHING for several collections now. This blog post gives us the chance to introduce you in more detail to this colorful character.
Lead singer of the band IN ARKADIA, MMA fighter, fitness trainer, personal coach, member of the SYLAK festival organizing team, devoted dad to a young daughter, and occasional photo model—Alix has a packed schedule that leaves no room for boredom!
Regularly up at the crack of dawn, Alix juggles workouts, fitness classes at a gym in Lyon, private coaching sessions from early morning to late at night, band rehearsals, and travel for fights or concerts—plus the occasional detour to the south for photo and video shoots with our team. In short, a schedule that would bring most of us to our knees!
It is always a pleasure to meet up with Alix for a shoot. His calm demeanor, professionalism, and good nature contrast sharply with the fury he unleashes on stage or in the ring.

We met Alix—and discovered a world defined by metal concerts and MMA fighting—through the brutal deathcore band IN ARKADIA. IN ARKADIA is a French metal band featuring vocalists Alix Jeanguillaume and Arthur Rohou, guitarists Jeremy "Mirfin" Lagrabe and Benjamin Dayeyan, bassist Thibault Boussac, and drummer Florent Marzais.
After several demos and EPs, they released their debut album, *Eyes of the Archetype*, in 2013—recorded in Germany at Kohlkeller Studio. The band subsequently toured alongside acts such as Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Napalm Death, and The Faceless.
A true live powerhouse—fueled by the energy of its vocalists, particularly Alix, who hits the stage as if stepping into a boxing ring—the band has garnered glowing reviews, establishing IN ARKADIA as one of the most promising acts on the current French metal scene.
But beyond music, Alix Jeanguillaume has another passion: martial arts. A dedicated and accomplished athlete, he has spent the last few years competing as a professional MMA fighter.
Alix started out in judo at a very young age; having competed extensively across France and abroad, he is now a 2nd-dan black belt. However, he also practices a wide range of other disciplines, such as Karate Jutsu, Kenpo, grappling, and Pancrase.
Throughout his career, Alix has secured numerous titles: 2015 French Karate Jutsu Champion, two-time Kenpo World Champion (Submission and Full Contact) in 2019, and 3rd place at the 2019 Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts event in Singapore; he was also the French Kenpo Champion for several consecutive years. This impressive track record has recently been bolstered by a string of victories in the MMA cage and new contracts for upcoming fights!
